Mildura Early Learning Centre
Our modern purpose built centre consists of seven class rooms and three outdoor play spaces, all of which have a vast variety and endless supply of stimulating and engaging experiences to provide the highest quality of care and education. These spacious natural outdoor areas including gardens, play equipment, sandpits areas, picinic benches, bikes paths and plenty of shade to escape the Mildura sun.
We offer care from birth to 6 years of age, including a kindergarten program. Educating and caring for young children is a highly specialised role requiring a unique combination of qualifications, experience and a passion for enriching children’s lives. We recognise children as individuals, and focus on their own interests and strengths. We deliver comprehensive education and learning programs to all children.
Our families enjoy coming together when we celebrate special events such as grandparent’s afternoon tea, kinder graduation, centre Christmas party, dress up days and parent/teacher interviews.
We provide a nutritionally balanced, multicultural menu that is in line with the Nutrition Australia guidelines and takes into consideration children's allergies, dietary needs and cultural requirements. We provide all nappies and meals including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.
We are proud that the majority of our Educators have been with the centre since opening, 6 years ago. We work really well together and pride ourselves on working cooperatively as a close knit team.
We are a government recognised and accredited long day care centre and therefore families are entitled to receive the CCB and Child Care Tax Rebate.
We are open 6.30am to 6.30pm, 52 weeks a year and are only closed on weekends and gazette public holidays.
The early years are a special time in a child’s life; an exciting period of discovery and learning. We have a strong play-based learning philosophy and our qualified early childhood Educators create programs based on current research and practices, plus decades of experience.
Our programs reflect the Early Years Learning Framework and are designed to give the children a wide range of active and meaningful experiences, building on the children’s own strengths and interests.
This helps develop relationships, social skills and tolerance of others and their environment.
All children are viewed as individuals whilst learning to interact positively within a group.
For those children who are approaching school age, we place strong emphasis on programs which challenge and extend their ability and confidence, aiding the transition to school.
